GIOSTAR’s scientific experience provides the contemplated foundation for OASI’s cellular-therapy platform.
The Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy and Research, known as GIOSTAR, is the proposed scientific partner for the OASI platform and clinic.
GIOSTAR describes itself as a U.S.-headquartered organization formed to advance stem-cell-based and cellular therapies for degenerative and genetic diseases. Its public materials identify a network of scientific and medical advisers and international clinical and research activities. GIOSTAR also publishes scientific articles and discusses cell-based approaches to cancer immunotherapy.
GIOSTAR was founded by Dr. Anand Srivastava, whose publicly available biography describes longstanding work in stem-cell science and regenerative medicine and involvement in establishing stem-cell research programs at leading U.S. research institutions. OASI expects to draw on this scientific experience in evaluating cellular-therapy protocols, quality standards, training, and clinical-data strategy.
Subject to definitive agreements, GIOSTAR’s contemplated role is scientific rather than responsibility for ownership or day-to-day clinic administration. The relationship is expected to address protocol guidance, scientific training, quality expectations, review of processing and release standards, and development of a disciplined outcomes registry. Final responsibilities, intellectual-property rights, regulatory duties, compensation, and governance will be stated in definitive agreements.
